Akin & Associates began with a simple belief: people deserve insurance that puts them first. Founder Larry Akin spent 18 years in the pest control industry before being recruited by Nationwide in 2009. After completing a demanding new-agent training program, he took the helm of the Priceville agency and never looked back.
From there, the agency grew with purpose, relocating to better serve the community, opening a Decatur office with bilingual agents, and acquiring Burchell Insurance Agency in Cullman in 2018. Today, we're a Veteran-owned independent agency licensed across Alabama, Kentucky, and Tennessee. We carry the values of integrity, service, and commitment into every policy we write, protecting what matters most to families, farmers, and business owners alike.
